Britain's Antifa Ultras vs. Football's Fascist Revival

The Football Lads Alliance (FLA) bills itself as an "anti-extremist" street movement comprised of British football fans. Although the group describes itself as being "against all extremism,” its rallies reveal a disproportionate focus on Islamic fundamentalism, which has given the FLA a reputation for Islamophobia.

Redfish correspondent Sapphire McIntosh hit the streets of London to document an FLA demonstration as well as a counter-protest organised by Football Lads & Lasses Against Fascism (FLAF), a group of anti-racist football fans that fights against the rise of far-right extremism in British football.
